Our new layout. Does it work?

At the end of May, we launched a new layout for the search results pages of YachtWorld.com. The aim was to increase the number of click-throughs from the search results pages through to boat details. It has been 22 days since the launch, so here is a quick comparison of the traffic against the 22 days beforehand. The differences are:

  • 94% increase in click-throughs for standard listings
  • 143% increase in click-throughs for enhanced listings

We have also seen an increase in activity on the social media functions on each listing, as well as the new print/save/email functions. To help you measure these changes in more detail as buyers engage with these new tools, we will launch a new traffic reporter in BoatWizard shortly. This will help you measure the gradual shift (also widely reported in other industries) as buyers move away from traditional email as the first point of contact.
