In order to improve the experience of searching for a boat on our public sites, a number of fields are now required in BoatWizard. These include:

• model name
• location (including city/marina)
• minimum of one photo (360 degree or flat image)
• introduction description text

All these fields will now need to be completed for any boats you add from today onwards. Existing boats will need the new fields completed on the next occasion you edit them. 

These changes will ensure that users of our sites get a more consistent experience when they search for a boat. In testing, we saw improved click-throughs and more leads. Looking ahead, these new fields will form the basis of increased search functionality we will be able to launch such as “boats near you” and “other boats in this marina“.
